Hey y'all- It's a Paint Party!

For us school is 1 week away- 1, uno, un, and I'm trying to get my mindset prepared as well as the schoolroom!  Yikes- how does summer always go so fast???? ( And yes-  I Know some of you have started back already! )

So in preparation of school starting and thinking that Moms, friends, teachers could have one last 'hurrah' before the constant daily schedule begins.......

Rusted Gingham is hosting a Mason Jar Painting Class at our fabulous local craft store called Craft Crossing

Pam at Craft Crossing has brought a mini Hobby Lobby to our town- and she is closed on Sunday too! ;-) If there is a craft product that we need in 'little ole Gonzales' Pam typically has it!! She has fabric of all sorts and often hosts sewing/quilting classes too! She has a better selection of scrapbook paper than any other store I've been in, has stamps out the wazoo, a huge selection of die cuts, ink, glues/tapes, baking supplies, general craft supplies and a whole room of fabric and sewing notions- Gonzales is Fortunate that she chose to open her store here!!!

We have 14 spots available for this cute Mason Jar painting class using our Junk Gypsy Paints!  The fun part will be sharing the time with friends!  So, call a few and call Craft Crossing at 830-203-5303 to book your space for this Saturday August 20th at 6:30pm!!!

The jar length is 19" and 11" wide. Cost for the class is $30.

This would make a great teacher gift, Christmas gift- or your own gift!  (You can customize the saying if you like.... or use an initial for a door/classroom!)

Hope to see you Saturday!!!

Little peeks and Big press

Oh my- Today is November 1st!  As we were headed to church this morning my little guy announced that it was the first day of November... Well, yes it is- and that means we are just 5 days away from the Best Barn Sale ever!!!

If you need ANY info about the Sale, Gonzales, sleeping accommodations,  restaurants, things to see after the Barn Sale... check out the Home page of this site- We have a lot of things listed!!

So last time I mentioned sweet girl was working on something pretty cool- well I managed to snag a picture to give y'all a little sneak peek... I have a feeling these are going to go like hot cakes...

Leather drop earrings- They are Stunning!!!  She has almost every color you can imagine- and there are plenty of solid ones and another set that are accessorized as the ones shown below. ( I have seriously asked her to make me 1 pair to wear... just one- that's all I'm asking for...) Hopefully when you see me at Barn Sale I will have a pair on!
These also come in 2 sizes- so you can do a Mommy and Me match kind of thing... or some people just like their earrings a bit smaller while others (me) want them to show!!

She has also been working on these popular beaded/tassel bracelets- in assorted colors!!!

Sweet girl is getting older and has been working to make sure she still has a lot of choices for the little girls that come in her booth (she has a lot of things for them to choose from) yet she wants to appeal to a teenager, young lady crowd too!  I will certainly be wearing some of her work - even though I don't fit in either of those categories.... so you can too! ;-)

In addition to her booth she will also have a table for Sole Hope
Here you can help trace or cut denim to be used to make shoes for children in Africa.  There will be a jug for 'donations' that will assist in the fair wages of those making the shoes in Africa! This project is a huge effort- we hope you can join in blessing children across the ocean.

This next photo makes me happy- Cattleman found my stash of old hinges all by himself.... 'why' you ask?  Well- what they are hiding is a pretty cool project that our little guy and one very special Aunt will be using at the barn sale... You will have to come to the barn for the big reveal!

 Big Press- We say Yes!!!

The tourism committee of Gonzales ran a FULL page ad in Texas Highways magazine... y'all- that turquoise spot in the middle- Yep- Barn Sale advertising!  The lady that designed the ad called me a few weeks ago and told me to be watching the newsstands.... We are Extremely Thankful that the Tourism Committee wants to help promote this very unique & special venue that we host!

WE are Thankful for all of YOU that come from miles away and enjoy your stay here in Gonzales.  WE cannot begin to stress how important Small Business is to the lives of a huge majority of Texans- by you driving or flying in- you are supporting Small Business which is still the backbone of our towns!  So come for the sale and stay for the hospitality- we have fabulous Inn's and B&B's here in Gonzales along with several restaurants that rival any big town eateries!  (Again- check our home page for that info...)

These two- they will each have their own booth at the Barn Sale- Yes, I am one proud Momma.... But beyond that, they are my biggest supporters and helpers. On this day several weeks ago they both learned how to use a t post driver.... this was after Mom had the first one in the ground and the second almost finished.... and they did a Great Job!!!  Not sure if you can tell- but they are both smiling amongst the loud clanging of the driver.

And this is what they helped with- not just this banner but another one as well! We have three of these banners out and about...
One is located at the office of our Vendor Sponsor State Farm Agent Scott Dierlam
this one photographed is just across from JB Wells at the Circle G/Willie's Grill at the intersection of Hwy 183 South and Hwy 97 South, and another one at the intersection of Hwy 80 South and Hwy 90 West in Belmont at the soon to be Goss gas station!  We are thankful all 3 places let us promote the Barn Sale on their property!

If you are headed to the Barn Sale on Saturday be sure you......

  Texas Revolution Team Roping
will be happening at the Arena on Saturday and Sunday (but we won't be in the barn Sunday......)
So watch out for horse trailers and Cowboys on horses....  We are very happy to share the JB Wells park with this crowd and hope they come and enjoy the Barn Sale in between rounds!!!

Ok... that's all for now!  I might try to get in another post with a few pics of what you will find in Rusted Gingham's booth.....  back to my 'to-do' list.........

Happy Day to you!!

The 7th insight to the Barn

The days are flying by- and getting 'shorter' at least that's what we think when we don't have as much daylight to accomplish our outdoor projects!  We are hard at work on some of the 'last minute' details to make the Barn Sale a special place on Nov 6th & 7th.

This first photo has us ready for Thanksgiving- a beautiful buffet painted a soft green with a dark top- this could easily fit into so many homes--- but alas.... only one quick shopper will make it home with this lovely piece!

And this next beauty.... Oh My Goodness- If you don't know me let me just tell you that I really, Really like the color red..... this dresser/sideboard is absolutely gorgeous!  I've seen the before photo and am only giving you the completed product!   Both of these pieces will be in the Rustic Ranch Hands booth- it will be a big one that you won't want to miss!  These gals have been hard at work finding just the right pieces of furniture to repaint in order to catch your eye!

Vintage Trunk will be joining us for their 4th year- and we are absolutely delighted that they have chosen the Barn Sale to be part of their schedule!

They have a fabulous selection of pillows- great for your personal decor, wedding gifts- they have Mr & Mrs Pillows...., graduation, Christmas- a place to find an all around great gift!  There will also be table runners- wonderful for upcoming Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year decor and celebrations.
Burlap wreaths and fabric pumpkins were part of last years booth- along with adorable kids shirts and some bottoms too!  Be sure to stop in Vintage Trunk and welcome them back to the Barn!

TM Creations has been with us in the barn the past 2 years as a part of Rose Sisters... They all decided that there was more than enough creativity for one booth that they had to get 2 booths this year- they will be right next to each other so it will still feel like family! TM Creations will be bringing these highly useful height markers- they can travel with you wherever you may move!  In addition she will have embroidery work, vinyl work , signs along with vintage and some antiques!  We are excited to have her back!
Here are two of them from last year- Terra on the right will have the TM as mentioned above, and Tina is part of Rose Sisters joining us for her 3rd year!  Their booth is always so well put together and has so many pretty and unique things!  We are truly happy to have these sweet smiles back with us!

They were really ready to Welcome you to their booth last year and we know they are excited to Welcome you back again this year!

Please do not think I'm repeating myself when I say this- but every year we get applications from people that have been shoppers in the Barn and then fall in love with the sale and the other vendors and the shoppers and just want to be part of it all.... Case in point here for a new vendor from down the road that really impressed us with her photos- we had a hard time narrowing it down to these three.... I just hope I can make it to her booth before the masses start- hehehe.... that has yet to happen- I am the one darting around at 3:35 on Saturday trying to hit all the booths- impossible!  Another reason why it's so hard to see all these awesome photos ahead of time--- tempting!!!  This booth is called Made with Love- very appropriate.  We hope you make them welcome as a vendor!

Dillo Designs will be coming down from Bastrop again- this will be her 4th year in the barn with us!   She  enjoys using interesting beads, sterling and leather- great combinations to make beautiful wrap bracelets and a few other specialty pieces of jewelry.

And lastly for this round- we bring you Burlap Babes!  This mother daughter duo is not just Burlap- by any means!  These ladies combine all sorts of found objects into cute decor- and if it needs painted they can do that too!  This duo was also on the list of previous shoppers turned vendors!  This will be their second year in the barn- but again- they are not new to this market!  They have  a B-I-G space at Junktoria in Victoria along with participating at several shows during the year.  We welcome them back to the barn!

That's all for now..... just a few more rounds of vendors to go.......

Have a Fabulous Weekend!!!  WE cannot wait till the weekend of Nov 6th and 7th at JB Wells park in Gonzales, Texas.
